MODEL CPC LL: LEAD LINED CORE

Interior

An all purpose door of lead lined construction. Hardwood doorskins are permanently bonded to wood slab and frame. The core consists of LD-2 Particleboard core or Structural Composite Lumber on request that utilizes wood strands from a variety of tree species. Both materials provide strength and stability. Both cores provide a uniform base for the hardwood doorskins.

Premium Grade conforming to or exceeding WDMA Industry Standard I.S. 1-A and Architectural Woodwork Institute Standards.

1-3/4" (±1/16") or 2-1/4" (±1/16")

FRAME COMPONENTS:

Stiles - (Before Trim or Prefit)* One piece, clear, matching/compatible hardwood face la minated, SCL or hardwood back, for painting or staining. 1-1/4" minimum total width. Minimum specific gravity of 0.39 for stile face and back.

Rails - (Before Trim or Prefit)*
1-1/8" minimum top rail and 2" minimum bottom rail; SCL or hardwood - manufacturer specific.

INTERIOR BLOCKING:

Varies based on manufacturer and core.

CORE:

LD-2 particleboard (manufacturer specific) or Structural Composite Lumber manufactured to WDMA Standards.

FACES:

1/8" doorskin or HPL meeting AWI or WDMA grading rules as specified. Type I or II bond as specified.

ASSEMBLY:

Core and frame are uniformly sized. Core and frame components are assembled and one half of required lead thickness is bonded to each side of core.

LEAD:

Full width and height sheet lead is applied to both sides of the core. 1/16" or 1/8" total lead thickness available.

ADHESIVE:

Type I or Type II bond, by specification, between faces and core/frame components.

WARRANTY:

1 year from date of shipment. For original installation only.
